Milk-V Mars Review: SiFive's RISC-V Enters the SBC Arena
Review and benchmark analysis of the Milk-V Mars, a RISC-V single board computer powered by the StarFive JH7110 SoC with four SiFive U74-MC cores and 8GB RAM. Corrected September 2026: a re-run against a pinned source tree puts the Mars at 458 seconds, not the 936 originally published, which makes it 1.42x FASTER than the Orange Pi RV2 rather than slower, and not the slowest board in the fleet. The board still tells an important story about where RISC-V stands.
